Race Day Checklist

1. Driver Safety Gear
   * Min. 2005 Snell approved full face helmet
   * Neck Collar
   * Racing Suit (skid resistant, doesn't need to be flame retardant)
   * Shoes that cover ankles
   * Gloves
   * SFI approved chest protector
   * Rib Vest (recommended)



2. Class Structure
   * Kid Kart IKF age 5-7 recommended

   * JR-1 Cadet age 8-11 Green Rescrictor Slide (Beginners) 
   * JR-1 IKF age 8-11 recommended
   * JR-2 IKF age 12-15 recommended



3. Kart Safety
   A. The following items MUST be safety wired
      * Kings pins
      * Steering stem base
      * Steering hub and wheel
      * Tie rod ends
      * Spindles
      * Peddles
      * Brake rod ends (or cable tied)
      * Brake caliper mounting
       * All balast (or double nutted)
   B. Body work should be secured



4. Correct weight for classes
   * Kid Karts - 150 lbs min (driver and kart)

   * JR-1 Cadet Same as JR-1 but with Green Restrictor Slide
   * JR-1 - 240 lbs min (driver and kart)
   * JR-2 - 300 lbs min (driver and kart)



5. Kart Numbering
   * 4 positions - one in front, one on each side and back number plate



6. Numbering Plates
   * Rookies (racers with fewer than 5 races in any class) must have a red diagonal stripe over their back number plate
   * Kid Karts should have a white plate with black numbers
   * JR-1 should have a yellow plate with black numbers
   * JR-2 should have a yellow or white plate with black numbers

7. Transponder Mounting
   * Kid Kart - 8" min back from king pin
   * JR-1 & JR-2 - 12" min back from king pin
